On November 13, the Plenary of Brazil’s Superior Court of Sports Justice (STJD) delivered a verdict on the case of Bruno Henrique, a star forward for Flamengo, and one of Brazil’s most popular clubs. Henrique had been convicted and handed a 12-game suspension in September for his role in a match-fixing scandal.​

The court’s decision was highly controversial.
